Higher Education Town Hall Podcast

On Wednesday, July 19, 2017, KANW, the Albuquerque Journal, and the New Mexico Council of University Presidents held a Higher Education Forum to address the issues facing New Mexico's universities: rising costs, declining enrollments, and fewer state dollars.  The forum was moderated by Kent Walz of the Albuquerque Journal.  Panelists included New Mexico Higher Education Secretary Barbara Damron, UNM Interim President Chaouki Abdallah, NMSU Chancellor Garrey Carruthers, CNM President Kathie Winograd, Western New Mexico University President Joseph Shepard, and NMSU Faculty President Chris Brown.  New Mexico State Senator John Arthur Smith (D-Deming) and New Mexico State Representative Larry Larrañaga (R- Albuquerque) participated via conference call from Farmington, NM.
