ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Two Albuquerque felons barred from possessing firearms have pleaded guilty to violating federal firearms laws.
The U.S. Attorney's Office says 36-year-old Nicholas Richard Blume pleaded guilty Wednesday to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition.
He previously had been convicted of crimes that included receiving and transferring a stolen motor vehicle.
Blume faces up to 10 years in prison when he's sentenced.
In a separate case, 56-year-old Anthony Barela pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He faces 15 years in prison under his plea agreement.
Barela had a pistol in his pocket when he was apprehended by police responding to a burglary call.
Barela previously was convicted of armed robbery and armed bank robbery.
