ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A man accused of stabbing two adults and a 10-year-old girl at a home in the Albuquerque area has nearly 30 warrants for failing to show up in court in other cases.
Prosecutors disclosed the criminal background of 43-year-old Leroy Lindsey during his court appearance Saturday morning.
Bernalillo County Sheriff's deputies say Lindsey stabbed a man, a woman and the woman's daughter Friday night.
Deputies say they believe Lindsey may have been under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Authorities say the 10-year-old, who was stabbed in the neck, is in critical condition. Meanwhile, the girl's mother has a collapsed lung.
Judge Daniel Ramczyk set his bond at $500,000 cash-only, calling Lindsey "a danger to the community."
Lindsey faces child abuse, kidnapping and aggravated battery charges.
