Arizona man gets prison for drug trafficking in New Mexico

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Arizona man has been sentenced to four years in federal prison in New Mexico for drug trafficking. Prosecutors say 32-year-old Adrian Soto was sentenced Tuesday in federal court in Albuquerque. Soto was arrested in March 2016 and charged with a methamphetamine trafficking offense after federal drug agents seized more than 11 pounds of meth at an Albuquerque bus station. Authorities say the methamphetamine was concealed in various bundles inside Soto's luggage including a gift-wrapped package. Soto pleaded guilty in the case last September.
