Giant Stuffed Bear 'Escapes' Pennsylvania Bar

STEVE INSKEEP, Host:

Somehow a stuffed bear in Pennsylvania escaped. The bear had been professionally mounted. It was eight feet long and adorned the second floor of a bar in Uniontown. Police say five people at the bar shoved the bear over a railing onto the ground and then they fled. The bear was too heavy to put back. So it was moved off to the side. And the next morning it was gone. So somebody in Pennsylvania now has an 800-pound souvenir. It's MORNING EDITION. Transcript provided by NPR, Copyright NPR.
