Holloman Base To Hold Memorial for Airman

FARMINGTON, N.M. (AP) — A memorial service will be held this week for one of three airmen from Holloman Air Force Base killed in a car accident last month in Alamogordo.

The Las Cruces Sun-News reports a service for 19-year-old Airman 1st Class Lamont Cullars will be held at the chapel on base tomorrow.

The 11 a.m. service will be open to all U.S. Department of Defense ID cardholders, escorted visitors and friends.

Memorials for the other two victims were held last month.

Alamogordo police say the car carrying Cullars, 26-year-old Ryan Nicholas Loehr and 21-year-old Deshon Maurice Wartley was traveling at high speed when it failed to negotiate a curve and rolled over.

All three were assigned to a remotely piloted aircraft squadron at Holloman.
