Pedestrian Fatally Hit By Car In Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Albuquerque and police say the driver will likely not face charges. Police spokesman Fred Duran says the incident occurred shortly before 11 p.m. Friday in the area of Central Avenue and Unser Boulevard. According to Duran, the victim suffered fatal injuries. Investigators believe an error on the part of the pedestrian is what led to the accident. The pedestrian's identity has not been released pending notification of next of kin. No charges are being filed against the driver at this time.
