Police: Passenger killed in collision with stolen vehicle

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) -- Albuquerque police say a crash has killed a passenger in a vehicle that collided with a stolen vehicle and that police are searching for two people who fled from the scene. Police say officers had spotted the stolen vehicle and tried to stop it Wednesday morning but discontinued their attempt because of what police called "reckless actions" by the driver of the stolen vehicle. According to police, officers then found the stolen vehicle after it was involved in a crash with the second vehicle. The people who fled the scene are only described as a male driver and a female passenger. Police say the stolen vehicle had left to warm up when it was stolen and they urge drivers to not leave vehicles running unattended.
