Police say Albuquerque man purposely hit girlfriend with car

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque police are searching for a man they say intentionally struck his girlfriend with a car, leading to the woman's death. Authorities issued an arrest warrant Tuesday for 39-year-old Dominic Garcia, hours after he allegedly ran over 19-year-old Samantha Sandoval. According to the criminal complaint, the two got into an altercation shortly after 3 a.m. A witness told police Garcia got into a vehicle and backed it up over the victim. The suspect and another man then drove Sandoval to a hospital. He left before officers arrived. Sandoval succumbed to her injuries.
