Santa Fe Police: No Injury in Reported Parking Lot Shooting

SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) — Santa Fe police responded to reports of shots being fired at a Wal-Mart store's parking lot but say nobody was injured.

The incident Tuesday evening resulted customers and employees taking shelter inside the store, which was locked down briefly.

Police initially said a police car had been hit, but Police Department spokesman Greg Gurule said Wednesday that was an error.

Gurule said officers searched an adjacent apartment complex Tuesday night but made no immediately arrests.

At least one responding officer reported that people in the parking lot had pointed toward the complex to indicate that's where shots came from.

Gurule said police continued to investigate.
