Sunland Park Police: Teen Arrested For Alleged Bomb Threat

SUNLAND PARK, N.M. (AP) — Police in Sunland Park say a 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody in connection with a bomb threat. They say officers were called by Santa Teresa Middle School staff on Wednesday morning after teen allegedly was making threats. Police say the boy allegedly made mock bombs and was seeking to either blow up or shoot up the school. They say the teen was detained at the Dona Ana County Detention Center on suspicion of a fourth-degree felony charge. They say all weapons were removed from the boy's home by the parents. The name of the teen wasn't released by police.
