Suspect in California murder case is arrested in New Mexico

ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say a man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder in California has been arrested in New Mexico. Roswell police say 26-year-old Joseph Daniel Kribell was taken into custody without incident Monday morning. He's been held without bond at the Chaves County Detention Center and awaiting extradition to Los Angeles County. Kribell is from Long Beach, California. Details of the murder case weren't immediately available Monday. Roswell police say they were called out to investigate a suspicious person in a parked vehicle about 4:45 a.m. An officer found Kribell sitting in the driver's seat. When the officer checked with dispatch for any warrants on Kribell, he said that Kribell was wanted for attempted murder in Los Angeles County.
