2:00 AM
The New Mexico Music programming started in 1973 as a unique service featuring Spanish music produced and performed by New Mexicans. KANW is proud to provide a venue to these artists that would otherwise never receive airplay nor recognition in the largest broadcast market of the state. KANW's Saturday morning New Mexico Music and dedications is a New Mexico radio tradition and maintains the highest ratings of all KANW's programs.
4:00 AM
Hosted by: Steve Inskeep & Renee Montagne
Waking up is hard to do, but it's easier with NPR's Morning Edition. Hosts Renée Montagne and Steve Inskeep bring the day's stories and news to radio listeners on the go. Morning Edition provides news in context, airs thoughtful ideas and commentary, and reviews important new music, books, and events in the arts. All with voices and sounds that invite listeners to experience the stories. Morning Edition, it's a world of ideas tailored to fit into your busy life.
8:00 AM
Weekday mornings from 8:00-8:30, KANW presents national news from NPR, state and local news with Mark Bentley, Dateline New Mexico, the Writer's Almanac with Garrison Keillor at 8:15, and other various features from Mark Bentley. The Writer's Almanac is a five-minute radio gem and a listener favorite. Listeners across the country tune in each day as host Garrison Keillor recounts the highlights of that day in history and reads a short poem or two.

9:00 AM
Hosted by: Anne Strainchamps
"To the Best of Our Knowledge" (TTBOOK) is an audio magazine of ideas — two hours of smart, entertaining radio for people with curious minds. It's sort of journalistic, but it's never about the president's speech to the U.N., weapons inspections in Iraq, or yesterday's stock market disaster. It's the kind of show that would spend an hour on advertising or on the roots of hip- hop. It might also spend an hour on hair. Or salt. Or pirates, road trips, house cleaning, animal intelligence, high energy physics, the afterlife, or how to say you're sorry ....
10:00 AM
Hosted by: Terry Gross
Fresh Air opens the window on contemporary arts and issues with guests from worlds as diverse as literature and economics. Terry Gross hosts this multi-award-winning daily interview and features program. The veteran public radio interviewer is known for her extraordinary ability to engage guests of all dispositions. Every weekday she delights intelligent and curious listeners with revelations on contemporary societal concerns.
11:00 AM
Hosted By: Diane Rehm
Each week, more than 2 million listeners across the country and around the world tune in for a lively mix of current events and public affairs programming that ranges from hard news analysis of politics and international affairs to in-depth examinations of religious issues, health and medical news, education and parenting. Diane's guests include many of the nation's top newsmakers, journalists and authors. Each show includes dialogue with listeners who call, e-mail, or tweet to join Diane's virtual community and take part in a civil exchange of ideas.
