Man charged with arson of girlfriends' Albuquerque home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say an 18-year-old man has been charged with setting his girlfriend's Albuquerque home ablaze. KOB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/2jn4HG5 ) that Miko Romero was charged with arson in connection with the Jan. 9 fire. No injuries were reported in the blaze. According to a criminal complaint, investigators determined the fire was intentionally set after finding a melted gas can. Romero was interviewed by authorities Friday and has since been released on bond. The complaint says Romero admitted to starting the house fire. The blaze caused an estimated $4,000 in damage.
