Missing children's information to be displayed on billboards

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Albuquerque billboards will be displaying information about missing children in an effort to increase awareness. The Albuquerque Journal reports (http://bit.ly/2lT8exp ) that 16 digital billboards began displaying the information Thursday as part of a joint effort by the city, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and Clear Channel Outdoor, which is donating the billboard space. Clear Channel spokesman Jason King says this is the first time the company has used its Albuquerque billboards for missing children alerts, though similar efforts have been running in other cities around the country for three years. The alerts feature age progression photos to show what missing children likely look like now and include contact information for investigators involved in the children's cases.
