Pence To Hold Campaign Events In Albuquerque, Roswell

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Donald Trump's running mate Mike Pence is scheduled to make a campaign stop in New Mexico's largest city — where a Trump rally in May turned violent. The Republican vice presidential candidate is slated to speak Tuesday at the Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque before heading to Roswell, New Mexico, for another campaign event. Albuquerque was the site a Trump event in downtown Albuquerque that turned violent. Anti-Trump supporters threw rocks and burning T-shirts at police. Authorities used pepper spray and smoke bombs to disperse angry crowds that caused thousands of dollars in damage. The Pence event will be away from downtown Albuquerque and near the Sandia Pueblo where protests are rarely held.
