Police: Man dies after shooting at an Albuquerque car wash

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — Authorities say man who was shot at a car wash in Albuquerque has died. Albuquerque police on Monday identified the victim as 59-year-old Earl Roybal. They say one person has been taken into custody following the shooting on Sunday evening. Witnesses told police that the victim was shot three times. Shawn Tillman told the Albuquerque Journal he was nearby when he heard the gunshots followed by a woman's scream. He then ran to the car wash, where he says he rendered aid to the victim until medics arrived. Police have not yet released details about what prompted the shooting.
