Police Say Man Stabbed Friend in Neck at Albuquerque Home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (AP) — An Albuquerque man is facing an aggravated battery charge after police say he stabbed his friend in the neck.

The Albuquerque Journal reports that 26-year-old Marc Bryan was arrested early Sunday after officers were called to a home in northwest Albuquerque.

Police arrived to find a man lying on the floor. The victim was taken to a hospital with severe injuries. Officer Simon Drobik says his prognosis for recovery is poor.

Police say Bryan told officers he stabbed the man because he insulted his family.

Both men were reportedly in the same National Guard unit.
