LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — Federal and New Mexico authorities say six members and associates of the so-called "Cruces Boys" gang have been arrested on drug trafficking charges. Five of the arrests were made Thursday in Las Cruces with the other arrest coming in Farmington. The men range in age from 21 to 35. Federal criminal complaints charge the six suspects with conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. According to court records, the defendants distributed cocaine and crack cocaine throughout the Las Cruces area during the past 11 months. Authorities say nearly all of the suspects are facing up to 20 years in federal prison if they're convicted. All six remain in federal custody pending their initial court appearances.
